To achieve their own goals, everyone needs mental and physical health. Indeed, a person whose main life priority is sensual pleasure understands the importance of good health. After all, in its absence, the senses do not function very well, and hence the pleasure will be less. Also, a transcendentalist who has dedicated his life to the service of God needs a healthy body to successfully carry out spiritual practices. And the first and the second will help to maintain their own health ayuverda. This is part of the Vedic knowledge that God gave to people back in time immemorial. In this article we will try to answer the question: “Ayuverda, what is it?” And consider the key points of this teaching. So let's get started.
The word "ayuverda" is translated from Sanskrit as "the science of life." Its goal is to teach people to maintain a balance of mind, a balance of the main components of the physical body and harmonious relations with the outside world.
In modern life there are many different factors that violate our natural balance. But in order to follow the canons of ayuverdy, it is not necessary to live on a desert island. Instead, you need to use the rules of "life science" to detect signs of an imbalance in the body and take appropriate measures to restore the natural balance. And everyone can learn to identify these signs before the appearance of the disease itself, which will cause suffering and inconvenience. Also, the rules of the science of life are fair in terms of weight loss. About how to use ayuverda for weight loss, we will discuss below. And now let's add some definition.
Ayuverda, whose reviews are mostly positive, focuses on disease prevention and health maintenance. Treatment of emerging diseases is a secondary goal. In addition to gymnastics and diet, Ayurvedic medicine makes recommendations for observing sleep patterns, considers lifestyle principles for different seasons of the year, lunar cycles, and types of constitution. She also talks about the rules of human behavior in society. All of the above helps to prevent the development of diseases. Ayurveda is not a passive form of therapy. According to its canons, a person fully assumes responsibility for his own life.
In part, we answered the question: “Ayuverda - what is it?” But there are a number of important points that need to be considered. And one of them is naturopathy. Ayurvedic therapy involves the use of only natural, natural products - plants, minerals, metals ... First of all, plants growing in natural conditions, or those cultivated due to increased demand or rarity, but grown without the use of artificial fertilizers. There are no chemically synthesized drugs and vitamin-mineral complexes in Ayuverde.
In terms of their structure and composition, natural products correspond to the tissues of our body, so they are easily digested and well digested. Of course, the synthesized drugs help to reduce the temperature and relieve pain, but since they have many side effects, they cause irreparable harm to our body. Especially with prolonged use. It is important to understand that pharmacological drugs can only suppress the symptoms of the disease. They do not eliminate the cause. And this leads to a chronic course of the disease. Only natural ingredients are used in Ayurvedic therapy. They strengthen the internal organs, as they have a similar structure to them.
Food as medicine
Ayuverda, reviews of which are available in the thematic forums, considers the components of food and medicinal ingredients to be identical. That is, the medicine can be used as food, and vice versa. Therefore, natural, non-toxic, natural tonic remedies are used in ayuverdicheskoy therapy, both for healthy and for sick patients. In the former, they strengthen the body and increase immunity, and in the latter, it is a remedy for treating a disease. It is very important that everything that ayuverda offers offers to be used in compliance with individual dosages. Otherwise, they will harm the person and cause complications.
The body as a single system
The modern medical system is highly specialized, as it treats each particular organ separately from the others. Quite a different approach to this problem is ayuverda: treatment is carried out comprehensively, taking into account the relationship with other systems of the body. If the disease is concentrated in a particular organ or area of the body, then investigate both this and the rest of the body. Modern research confirms that 70% of diseases are systemic.
Treat not the disease, but the patient
In the science of life there is a very important point. As ayuverda says: treatment can be prescribed only if, in addition to the symptoms of the disease, the features of the patient are known. These are body size, diet, will power, age, mental nature, etc. That is, two patients with the same disease can be assigned different treatments. Ayuverda practices an individual approach to each patient.
Elimination of the cause of the disease
According to life science, pathogenic microbes are a secondary cause of disease. The primary factor is the disharmony of the three doshas: kapha, pitta, and cotton (the three integral principles of the management of the neuroendocrine system). If the soil is fertile enough, the seeds that have fallen into it will quickly germinate and spread. When the balance of the three doshas is disturbed, such fertile soil appears for the microbes. They multiply rapidly in the body and lead to the appearance of the disease. Therefore, the main task of the life science is to maintain the balance of the three doshas.
Let us open another topic that will help to more fully answer the question: “Ayuverda, what is it?”. And this topic is diagnostic methods. In Western medicine, complex instrumental and biochemical studies are used for this purpose. But in ayuverda a completely different approach. The most important thing is the experience, attentiveness, intuition and insight of the doctor. The methods used by him are accessible, simple and do not require significant costs. And the main of them is the method of "five mirrors", when the diagnosis is carried out on the skin, auricles, eyes, tongue and pulse.
The importance of nutrition
For the full treatment of diseases, nutrition according to ayuverde must be correct. This topic is disclosed in detail in ancient treatises, the prescriptions of which are actively used in their practice vaidyas. The ayuverdy formula is: “If a person follows the necessary diet, then he does not need treatment, if not, then hardly anything will help him.” Diseases do not occur with proper nutrition, and with improper - progress, despite the intervention of doctors. Just as water undermines stone, so diseases can strengthen or destroy the body. Life science takes into account not only the energy-information, but also the biochemical effect of food. Many people ask: “How is Ayurveda used for weight loss?”. The answer is obvious - through dieting, which is not a limitation. Eating a diet means following your natural nature.
A special place in Indian culture is taking care of nails, teeth, hair and skin. To do this, there are funds produced both at home and in an industrial way. Ayurvedic cosmetics exist for several millennia, and its recipes are described in many ancient treatises. So she passed a serious test of time. The main feature of this cosmetics is the complete absence of synthetic components.
Relocation of the soul
Now you know the answer to the question: “Ayuverda, what is it?” It remains to consider the last moment. The theme of transmigration of the soul plays an important role in ayuverde. The bad and good deeds of past life affect the conditions of birth in the present. The consequences of these actions form human karma. If in a past life he has accumulated bad karma, then this can be the cause of many illnesses associated with negative stereotypes. Such pathologies cannot be cured with standard therapeutic agents. Karmic diseases are cured by the realization and atonement of sins, as well as by performing spiritual practices and religious precepts.
Concept of science
Ayuverda - what is it? The interpretation of science involves considering each person as part of the universe. Based on this close relationship, Ayurveda considers the health of the body as related:
Only in the unity of the whole organism, the state of complete balance and human health is achieved. A distinctive feature of this teaching is that little attention is paid to the elimination of the symptoms of diseases, all actions are aimed only at eradicating the cause of the disease.
Indian ayuverda argues that the causes of the emergence of all diseases is an imbalance between the body and the soul, which occurs due to stress, improper day regimen, diet, bad habits and other negative factors. As a treatment, procedures are proposed for relaxation, cleansing the body, meditation, proper nutrition, breathing exercises and so on.
It is believed that Ayurveda originated more than five thousand years ago, when the sages revealed their knowledge gained from the universe to people. The framework of the exercise was not limited only to the territory of India for a short time, and soon some of the knowledge gained became the basis for procedures in European and Arabic medicine. It is ayuverda (what it is and the basic principles of science will be described below) that told the world about the healing qualities of musk, aloe, sandalwood, various herbal preparations and incense. Based on this teaching, Tibetan medicine worked for a long time, but in most Western countries, Ayurveda came only in the last century. Today, it is practiced by qualified registered doctors all over the world, whose number of patients is increasing every year.
The fundamentals of science have remained unchanged so far; the cleansing of the body and the union of the body with the soul are taken as the base - this is an effective means for healing from diseases.
What to strive for
Ayurveda teaches that each person is born already in a state of prakriti and, knowing all its defining components, is able to independently control their health. External factors have an effect on the balance of souls in the body, which leads a person into a state of crying, which is considered painful. Dosha can be returned to its former position using various methods, including drugs provided in specialized stores. Online store "Ayuverda House" offers only quality products from proven and certified manufacturers. You can buy them at affordable prices.
More subtle energies
So, ayuverda (what it is, few know) is a rather complex science. In addition to the balance of doshas in the body, for the harmony it is necessary to control the state of the guns. They represent something imperceptible, easy and emotional. Gunas are also divided into several types:
- Rajas - the basis of energy and activity
- Sattva - the basis of harmony, balance and mind
- Tamas - the basis of rudeness, inertia and destruction.
Principles of treatment
Traditional medicine is based on the treatment of a specific focus of the disease, while Ayurveda is aimed at a comprehensive recovery of the whole organism. This is achieved by balancing the doshas and gunas in the body. A qualified Ayurvedic doctor is able to correctly determine which particular dosha came out of its normal state and bring it back into harmony with the other components. All this is done exclusively by natural means, completely excluding chemical drugs. It is possible to get acquainted with the list of medicaments used in Indian medicine on the website "Ayuverda Dom".
In addition, science teaches us to direct our emotions in a positive direction during treatment, because the result of the events depends on the emotional state.
Rejuvenation through proper nutrition
This direction of rehabilitation is based not only on the preparation of the diet, but also on the observance of proper diet. Ayurveda, the food on which is based on certain principles, obliges to start the meal only in a peaceful state. To do this, after an upset or arousal, you need time to prepare for a meal. Also in the room where the meal is carried out, should be quiet and peaceful, without distractions. In addition, the rules state that the main meal should occur at noon, and after the end of any meal should get up from the table only after a few minutes.
Ayurveda is useful for losing weight, because according to its basics, you should start eating only at the moment when the feeling of hunger begins, but not earlier than 3 hours after the previous meal. It is forbidden to eat after sunset and overeat. You should eat slowly, chewing well and only in a sitting position. The food must be warm and fresh, cooked just before eating, at least on the same day. Drinking while eating is allowed in small quantities and only carefully boiled warm water.
The doctrine directly indicates the need for the use of spices during cooking, because they contribute to the stimulation of appetite and improve digestion. "Ayuverda House" (Indian online store) offers its customers a variety of quality spices and herbs that will be useful if you follow the rules of Ayurvedic nutrition.
It is prohibited in the diet to use dairy products of industrial production, such as yogurt, cheese, milk or ice cream. In the evening you can not eat sour and salty foods, dairy products as well. It is not recommended to use potatoes in general, since it contradicts the principles of Ayurvedic nutrition and contributes to the appearance of toxins in the body. Milk is allowed to drink only separately from other products. For taste it is allowed to add spices or sugar.
Combination of products
It is believed that milk in general can not be combined with anything, especially with acidic products (first of all it concerns citrus fruits). You also need to take into account the time of digestion combined products. So, cereals are digested for a long time, which means it is impossible to combine them, for example, with melon, because it is absorbed by the body very quickly. Honey according to the rules of nutrition can not be consumed in a heated state, and milk - together with other products containing protein. All these principles are based on strong arguments and are described separately for each dosha.
Methods of healing
Any medical procedure according to the ancient teachings can not have side effects, since it is based only on the use of natural ingredients. Among them are various rendered oils and more than three thousand medicinal plants, which can be purchased at an affordable price and in a short time by the Ayurveda House shop.
The list of recovery procedures is rich in various massage techniques, cleansing enemas, religious singing, mantra reading, meditation and so on.
For women, this science is most attractive, because it offers not only to improve the body, but also to rejuvenate it with the help of natural cosmetics and procedures. For the weaker half of humanity, Ayurveda (an online store with the same name has a full range) offers a wide selection of natural oils that can be used in various ways. Natural cosmetic and therapeutic agents help eliminate age-related changes, acne, dry skin, and successfully cope with other problems without side effects.
Even the use of Ayurvedic knowledge to eliminate a particular problem will still have a beneficial effect on the whole organism. Specialized stores offer their customers not only oils and herbs, but full-fledged cosmetic products made in compliance with all the rules of science.
- hair care products
All of them are composed of mineral components, extracts from herbs and other useful ingredients. Interestingly, the use of all healing remedies Indians began long before the Europeans. For example, antimony and amla are able to care for hair, strengthen it and promote growth.
This article describes in detail the ayuverda, what it is, what science is based on and how it is used in everyday life. But nevertheless, without having thoroughly studied science, do not begin to apply its methods on yourself.
Ayurveda - what is it?
Word itself "Ayurveda" from Sanskrit is translated as "the science of life and longevity" ("Ayus" - life, "Veda" - knowledge). But it would be wrong to assume that this is just a science. This is a philosophical trend, a system of medicine, and a way of life. It is considered that on its basis the main directions of medicine, including Chinese and Tibetan, have arisen. The references to Ayurveda can be found, first of all, in the Vedas, but also in the Mahabharata, Puranas, Tantras, Upanishads, Yoga Shastras. Some sources suggest that this scientific and philosophical direction of at least five thousand years.
Yes, with the help of Ayurvedic knowledge, it is possible to accurately identify a disease and cure it without using any complex diagnostic methods.. But the main goal is to prevent the development of the disease, that is, prevention. Ayurveda teaches the ability to maintain health by harmonizing body and soul, balancing primary elements, calmness and mutual understanding with the environment. Only appeasement can provide a balance of physical and spiritual. At the same time, this science does not impose strict restrictions and does not impose something. She only recommends what can be done to maintain health.
In order to prevent illnesses, Ayurveda offers to look for the causes of diseases, paying attention to the close connection of bad thoughts with physical disorders.
Treatises devoted to Ayurvedic knowledge, identify eight areas of this scientific and philosophical system, each of which deals with its field of medicine:
- Kaumara Bhrtiya - Pediatrics. In this direction, attention is paid to pregnancy, the rules and problems of feeding offspring with breast milk. Still treatise contains recommendations for the education and proper care of children of different ages.
- Kaya Chikitsa. The word "kaya" literally translates as "the whole body." Considering one of the most important sections of medicine, considers the causes and methods of treating diseases that are “not tied” to a specific organ. For example, diabetes and hysteria.
- Haggadah Tantra - direction, dealing with the problems of intoxication and elimination of poisons from the body. Also considers what to do if a person is bitten by a poisonous creature.
- Shalakya Tantra - a section aimed at eye disease treatment.
- Bhutavidya. It is considered to be the most mysterious direction, since this treatise focuses on witchcraft. Today regarded as methods of psychological influence on the conscious and unconscious mind of the person (for example, hypnosis).
- Shalya Tantra - contains knowledge of surgery and obstetrics.
- Vajikarana Tantra - knowledge of the treatment of infertility and other reproductive problems.
- Rasayana Tantra - secrets of longevity.
It is worth noting that Ayurveda offers to take responsibility for your lifestyle and actions that affect physical and mental health..
Ayurvedic Panchakarma procedure
Five primary elements of which the world consists
Ayurveda asserts that all living and non-living things in the world are subject to certain rules and necessarily consist of five primary elements called panchamahbhut:
- Jala - water. Manages fluids in the body.
- Prithvi - earth (solid components of the body, bones, teeth).
- Akasha - ether (internal organs). This is the main element that controls the internal space of the body.
- Agni is fire. This includes everything that contributes to the flow of internal processes, their movement. For example, these are enzymes produced by the glands of the gastrointestinal tract, which are necessary for the digestion of food.
- Frond (air). Affects the activity and general well-being of a person.
All these elements are in different proportions in the body and constantly interact.. If there is an imbalance of at least one element, violations or even serious diseases can develop. Ayurveda teaches how to balance the coexistence of the five beginnings and prevent ailments.

Theory of three doshas and three gunas in Ayurveda
Three primary energies are formed from primary elements, known as doshas:
- pitta - water and fire
- vata - ether and air,
- Kapha - earth and water.
The theory of three doshas says that one of the above energies prevails in a person.. To determine which one is possible by analyzing the constitutional characteristics of the human body.
So, Ayurveda will distinguish seven types of body constitutions:
- Pita Vata
- Tridosh (sama-dosha) is the equilibrium of all three doshas.
For Ayurveda, the theory of three doshas is one of the main ones. The deep knowledge of the follower of this science helps to identify the disease already when it was born.
No less important is the understanding of the gunas - the energies of the mind, which also affect a person's well-being:
- Rajas (passion) - aggression, energy, "spouting."
- Sattva (goodness) - kindness, mercy, beauty.
- Tamas (ignorance) - that negatively affects the body and mind of a person: depression, laziness and sadness.
Often at a particular moment in a person one of the three guns takes over, determining his behavior and the thoughts of the personality, which affects the balance of primary elements..

Diagnostic methods used in Ayurveda
Ayurveda has fairly simple diagnostic methods for detecting ailments. But, one way or another, no traditional medicine can do without these methods.
So, the doctor working within the framework of Ayurvedic knowledge uses the following examination methods:
- listening to the pulse (nadi wigsha),
- urine test (wiggle mutra),
- analysis of voice and other noises (Sabda wigsha),
- general impression of a person (wiggsha acrit),
- language learning (jihva pariksha),
- palpation (sparsha pariksha),
- feces diagnostics (mala pariksha),
- eye examination (Drik Pariksa).
The use of these methods does not require special costs. But surprisingly, an experienced doctor with all the necessary Ayurvedic knowledge will be able to correctly diagnose with their help. At the same time, the main requirement for a doctor is insight, observation, the presence of a developed intuition.
Ayurvedic approach in the treatment of doshas
Naturalness - the basis of treatment in Ayurveda
Ayurveda proclaims the use in the treatment of human ailments only natural, produced by the very nature of the means: metals, plants, stones, minerals and other things. In turn, it refuses to use artificially created drugs and even vitamin-mineral complexes.
Ayurveda believes that everything that our body needs to maintain and restore health is in the nature around us, as it is perfect.. Even the elements contained in synthetic preparations necessarily have natural analogues. But only there is a significant difference between the artificial and the natural. Drugs created with the help of chemical synthesis, with long-term administration begin to cause serious damage to the organs, therefore, after they are taken, they will still have to be restored. But the intelligent use of natural remedies is safe, since their structure is similar to the structure of the body.
In addition to medicines of natural origin, Ayurveda has in its treatment such means as: Ayurvedic massage, yoga, Marma therapy (effect on the biologically active points of the body), meditation, the appointment of an individual diet.
The importance of nutrition and nutrition in treatment
Ayurveda spelled out the idea that for health and longevity is important that a person eats. If you eat right, then no disease is not terrible. But even if it is treated with the help of the most effective methods and means, but to eat incorrectly, nothing will help.
Some products can both strengthen the body and destroy it. It turns out that correct food acts like medicine.
Ayurveda and Hinduism are consonant in the opinion of the transmigration of souls - reincarnation. Depending on how the past life was lived (in piety or unkind deeds), so is the present life. Conventional Ayurvedic treatments will not help here.
To be cured of karmic diseases, it will take an awareness of sinful passions, their overcoming with the help of spiritual practices, meditations and the fulfillment of religious precepts.
Indian Ayurveda - the basic principles and methods of treatment
Ayurveda originated a long time ago. Her homeland is India.
There is even the opinion that this happened simultaneously with the development of human intellect and intelligence.
Not fully tested and comprehended by people for the identification and treatment of various diseases, today practiced in India, Nepal, Indonesia, and many other countries.
It is worth noting its growing popularity among Europeans.
(from Sk. आयु "āyu" and वेद "veda" - "knowledge of life", "science of life", or "knowledge of long life") - the traditional system of Indian medicine, one of the varieties of alternative medicine. wiki
Ayurveda is a special science, based on the principles of simplicity and naturalness, but, despite the seeming complexity of the uninitiated, it is accessible to everyone.
Pay attention - it doesn’t matter what religion a person is and what life views he has.
What is Ayurveda, what is its essence, how to use the knowledge accumulated over the centuries, and many other equally important information will be considered further.
Some general information about ayurveda
If you translate the word "Ayurveda" from the oldest language - Sanskrit, then you can call this teaching about life and longevity.
However, this is not only science.
It is believed that Ayurveda for more than five thousand years.
With the help of this scientific and philosophical direction, one can not only find the causes, diagnose and treat diseases, but also prevent their development.
This happens through the attainment of harmony of the soul with the body.
The connection of the soul and body - the main elements of Ayurveda
Ayurveda says that a particular disease is directly related primarily to the negative thoughts and thoughts that occupy the person.
According to Ayurveda, it can be concluded that all life consists of five main elements.
It is noteworthy that the inanimate also consists of these five principles.
They are collectively called panchamahabhut.
All these elements are closely linked and are responsible for the work of the whole organism.
Therefore, in case of violation of the state of one element, a change in the negative direction of others is possible.
Ayurveda teaches to achieve the correct coexistence of all five principles, which ensures a healthy state of the body and soul.
Ayurvedic types of people - a brief description of doshas
In Ayurveda, there is the concept of doshi, which characterizes a person more precisely and more deeply, and also helps to understand his susceptibility to various diseases.
The word “dosha” literally means “that which changes” (or “that which spoils”).
Here there are three main types.
Such people are thin. Weight is not gained, despite the amount of food they consume. By character very active and sociable. Often they are called the "soul of the company." Very emotional and receptive. Even read books or watched movies can take to heart. Watt people do not have the necessary organization. Often suffer from insomnia. Therefore, they have a fragile nervous system. In addition, they have dry skin and hair, and are also very sensitive to low air temperatures.
Such people usually have a medium build, pink skin and freckles. They are inherent in gluttony. They are organized, easily trainable and irritable. Pitt is able to correctly and interestingly express his thoughts, and therefore good teachers and speakers are made of them. People of this dosha are very demanding of themselves. They do not like heat, often thirsty and hungry.
Kapha people are prone to corpulence. Like pitta, they love to eat, but they don’t put food on the forefront. They are very calm and sometimes even too slow, they do everything in a measured way. Do not like the hustle and tensions. They have perfect light and smooth skin, beautiful hair. Do not tolerate moisture and bad weather. Kapha badly memorize any information. However, if they remember it, they will not forget it.
As a rule, a person has all three doshas, but one of them always prevails. Dosch imbalance is what causes the disease.
More about the types (doshas) of people are very well told in this video.
When diagnosing any disease, Ayurveda uses a number of simple and inexpensive methods.
The survey includes:
- definition of dosha
- listening to the pulse
- language inspection
- urine and feces,
- voice and other noise characteristics
- eye examination
- use of palpation, etc.
An experienced doctor who has all the knowledge of Ayurveda, on the basis of the diagnostics, will be able to make the correct diagnosis, and also to explain to the patient what to look for in life, how to behave, to avoid diseases, and to give many other equally important tips.
In getting rid of ailments, this area uses only natural natural remedies that can restore the balance of the dosha, weaken or strengthen the necessary energy in the body.
The principle of biological individuality is most important in Ayurvedic diagnosis and treatment.
Medicines in Ayurveda include stones, plants and minerals.
Ayurvedic massage, yoga, meditation and special diets are also used.
No synthetic drugs are used here.
Also one of the most important points of Ayurveda is that the current life of a person depends largely on past lives, and the treatment of karmic diseases implies an awareness of committed sins and overcoming them with the help of spiritual practices.
Ayurvedic food - the basic rules
Nutrition is an important part of Ayurvedic science.
It is through nutrition that we can affect our doshas and restore their balance.
Ayurveda recommends eating more spices. They contain a lot of nutrients.
It is also recommended to cook food by yourself and at one time.
